Story
Tagline : “Jefferton alive!” [1]
All episodes show Tom Peters, an aspiring rational entrepreneur who moved to Jefferton. He presents his ideas to the stupid mayor of the city, who accepts all of them. The satire of the animated series is built on this: the interpretation of these ideas in the form of fraud , provincial thinking and tragically distorted civic pride.
Animated Features
The animated series was made in a rather original style ( limited animation ): photographs of actors in various poses were taken and processed on a computer . There are no movements of the lips of the characters and very few movements of the limbs . As a result, the series achieved a unique visual style and turned out to be quite cheap in production [2] .
In the manufacture of the series actively used the program Adobe Photoshop [3] .
In each episode, there are invited celebrities, in particular: Jack Black (1-01), Jeff Goldblum (1-04), Sarah Silverman (1-11), Fred Willard (1-13), Gary Busey (2-05), Thomas Kenny (2-06), Robert Loggia (2-06), Judd Hirsch (2-07), John Reilly (2-10), Michael Cera (2-15), Paul Rubens (2-16) and many others .
Few people can be indifferent to this animated series, they either adore or hate it, as stated today.msnbc.msn.com , comparing it in this regard with the "Family Guy" , " Aqua Teen Hunger Force " and "Ghetto" [4] .
Show in Russia
The premiere of the animated series in Russia took place on June 14, 2007 on the 2x2 channel. All roles were voiced by Dmitry Puchkov (Goblin) .
