Conveyor train - a vehicle in the form of a separate train with a load-carrying cloth of a tray type, moving along a rail track or along special guides. Conveyor trains are designed to transport bulk cargo with pieces up to 1200 mm in size .

Use of conveyor trains
The use of conveyor trains began in the 60s. XX century. They were widely used in the mining industry. Conveyor train transportation systems are widely used in Australia, France and Germany.
Conveyor trains are designed to transport large-sized, abrasive goods along the route with small rounding radii (20 ... 25 m).
Process Flows
This type of conveying plants is used in two technological schemes:
- in-line - with the delivery of lumpy rock mass directly from the faces to dumps or to an enrichment plant ;
- cyclic-flow - with the movement of rock mass dump trucks to the unloading point and further transportation by conveyor train.
Technical Parameters
The optimal parameters of conveyor trains in open cast mining:
- the cross section of the load on the canvas 1-1.5 ;
- carrying capacity 300-400 tons;
- movement speed with a load of 5-10 m / s.
The productivity of conveyor trains depends on the speed of movement and reaches 1000 tons / hour.
Benefits
- ability to work on steep slopes (up to 20-25 ΠΎ );
- the possibility of transporting bulk cargo (up to 1200 mm );
- the possibility of movement along small rounding radii (up to 30-40 m);
- full automation of the system.
Weaknesses
- a large number of drives;
- action of dynamic (tensile and compressive) forces.
