History
Background
In the early history of Tyumen football were known clubs " Dynamo ", " Lokomotiv " and "Star". So, in 1946, representing the Tyumen branch of the Sverdlovsk railway, Lokomotiv took part in the third group of the USSR football championship - the tournament of the Ural zone of the RSFSR [2] . In 1956, the Star, representing the 109th Guards Infantry Berislav-Hinganskaya Red Banner Division of the Order of the Suvorov , took 2nd place in the Western Siberia zone of the RSFSR championship, and in 1957 the 1st place in the Ural zone [3 ] .
Participation in the USSR Championship
The club was founded in 1961. From this year I started playing in the class “B” of the USSR championship . In 1971, taking second place in the group, the team won the right to compete in the second league. Tyumen Geolog is the champion of the RSFSR 1985, winner of the RSFSR Cup 1984 [4] , finalist of the RSFSR Cup 1983 and 1985, winner of the second league zonal tournaments 1984, 1985, 1986, second prize winner 1983.
On August 14, 1982, the Spartak stadium was opened at Tsarovoi Gorodishche (later it became known as Geologist ).
After Valery Ovchinnikov joined the coaching post, the Tyumen Geologist became the leader of his zone in the second league [5] . In the RSFSR Cup in 1983, reached the final and lost there Dynamo (football club, Stavropol, 1924) with a score of 4: 0. In the draw of the RSFSR Cup in 1984, Geolog won the tournament, beating Ivanovo Tekstilshchik in the final with a score of 4: 0. In the Cup of the RSFSR Cup in 1985, they reached the final and lost to Presnia 0: 0 and 2: 0. In 1986, the Tyumen team won the right to play in the first league of the All-Union Championship, where they spent five seasons - from 1987 to 1991. The team showed the best result at this stage in 1989 and 1990 - 11th place.
July 11, 1986 - the first international match between "Geologist" and the Italian "Sporting" from the city of Reggio nel Emilia . The Tyumen team won with the score 2: 1, the goals were scored by E. Zarva (two goals) and L. Spadzhari. [6] .
Participation in the Russian Championship
As a result of the collapse of the USSR and the formation of the new championship of Russia, the Tyumen club was included in the major league tournament, where he played in 1992, 1994-1995 and 1997-1998. In 1992, Beniamin Basharin, the former head of the Tyumen Region Department of Internal Affairs, became the team leader, and the team changed its name to Dinamo-Gazovik this year [7] . The best result is 12th place (1994). The worst result is 20th place (1992). In 1993 and 1996, the Tyumen team performed in the first league of the Russian championship , both times becoming winners of the tournament and winning the right to play the next year again in the big leagues. After Basharin’s death, the team was renamed again - FC Tyumen. The leader of the team was Alexander Purtov, with whom the crisis and the further dissolution of the club were linked [8] . In 1998, FC Tyumen placed the league's anti-record in the number of points scored - a total of 8, as well as in the number of goals conceded - 89. Without solving the financial problems of the season, the team left the big leagues, and a year later, in transit through the first, turned out to be in the second league. The following seasons Tyumen unsuccessfully tried to return to their previous positions. In 2003, the Tyumen team was disbanded and did not take part in the Russian championship [9] . On the basis of the club, the former backup team continued to play in the third league tournament, reinforced by several players from the main squad of the broken Tyumen. The team was called "SDUSHOR-Sibnefteprovod" [9] .
Team Recovery
In 2004, the club won the zonal tournament of the Amateur Football League , but refused to join the professional league. The following year, Tyumen repeated its achievement, and the club returned to the second division . Since 2006, Tyumen has resumed membership in the Professional Football League. On the eve of the 2008 season, the club was headed by the president of the Tyumen mini-football club, Alexander V. Popov [10] . The symbolism of the club has been changed. Team colors have become black and white. Since 2012, the team has a new coaching staff: the head coach is Evgeny Evgenievich Durnev, the senior trainer is Igor Anatolyevich Menshchikov, the coaches are Evgeny Maslov and Oleg Yakovlevich Prischepov, the head of the team is Pavel Chernykh.
In the Russian Football Cup 2012/2013 draw, FC Tyumen achieved its highest cup achievement in the entire history of the club at that time. Having defeated Vladikavkaz “Alania” in the home stadium with a score of 2: 1 [11] , the team advanced to the 1/8 finals, losing to CSKA in the Moscow match with a score of 0: 3.
On June 6, 2013, at the team meeting, Director of FC Tyumen Alexander Popov officially announced that the club would not renew the contract with the team's head coach Yevgeny Durnev . The main reason for the termination of relations was the failure to fulfill the task for the season assigned to the team (the team of FC Tyumen was given the task of entering the FNL , but due to losing the predetermined last season match of FC Gazovik Orenburg with a score of 0: 1, the task was not solved) [12] . The club also did not extend contracts with sports manager Yuri Kudinov, senior coach Igor Menshchikov, coach for goalkeepers Oleg Prischepov and senior massage therapist Oleg Martynov.
In the Russian Football Cup 2013/2014 draw, FC Tyumen repeats last year's feat, beating Zenit St. Petersburg in the 1/16 finals in its field with a 2-0 score. In the PFL Championship 2013/2014 in the Ural-Volga region, Tyumen took the 1st place, thanks to which it made its way to the FNL Championship for the next season [13] .
According to the results of the 2017/2018 season, Tyumen took the 19th place in the FNL , but retained registration due to non-receipt of Tosno (it took 15th place in the 2017/18 Premier League) of the RFU license. According to the results of the next season, the club failed to gain a foothold in the FNL, taking 20th place in the PFL.

Fan Movement History
The fan movement in Tyumen was born in 1987. Already in 1989, the city had more than 100 active fans of the Tyumen "Geologist", gathered at the 13th sector of the local stadium. At the same time, the first trips to other cities took place. So, in 1989, the leader of the Tyumen fans Chizh before the "golden" season did not have just two trips to Baku and Abovyan . Due to the economic crisis of the early 1990s, the fan movement in Tyumen has come to naught. In 1994, the “firm” “Tyumen fans legion” was created, which lasted less than two years. The rebirth of Tyumen fanaticism occurred in 1998, despite the fact that it became a failure for the Tyumen team. It was then that the formation of the group began, which later received the name Vikings Legion. Although the following years, 1999 and 2000, were extremely unsuccessful for Tyumen football, the fan movement grew. June 21, 1999 the first departure to Moscow took place. In the same year, the first issue of the Viking fanzin was released (a total of 5 numbers were issued before 2003). In addition to football, the “seals” (the nickname of the Tyumen supporters) were also supported by the local hockey club “Rubin” . For 2003–2005, despite the loss of professional status and transfer to the Third League by the Tyumen team, the formation of the “hooligan” movement in the city is necessary, in particular, new “gangs” are formed, combat trips and regular sparring with “hooligans” from nearby cities begin. In 2006–2008, although the Tyumen residents regained their professional status, the fan movement in Tyumen is experiencing stagnation and even some decline, at the same time it was during this period that the “golden” season was recorded. Later, the situation changed somewhat. In 2011, Tyumen fans struck 12 of the 15 trips, a fan-tournament in football in memory of Dmitry Anashkin was held, and a pyrotechnic show was held at the penultimate home match. On January 1, 2012, the "seals" made more than 100 visits to the guest matches of their team. The most distant of them, in Ulan-Ude in 2001, is the most numerous in Chelyabinsk in 2008 (80 fans) [16] .
