Fantastique (from French fantasy ) is a Dutch pop group of the early 80s. The duet from the city of Haarlem, located in the north of the country, consisted of Dick Das ( Dutch Dick Das ) and Astrid Leuvener ( Dutch Astrid Leuweringen ) [1] . The style of performance resembles the band Ottawan .

The duet is known for the compositions “Mama Told Me” and “Maria no mas”. In 2009, Sonic Records released the album The Best of in Poland [2] .

Biography
The duet was formed with the participation of Cat Music ( Cat Music ). Dutch composers, among whom were (Geertjan Hessing), (Aart P Mol), (Erwin van Prehn), (Cornelis R Cees Bergman) [2] , until 1979 represented teenage glam rock in the Catapult group (Catapult), and then The Monotones . Electronic compositions that they wrote for Fantastique (“Mama Told Me”, “Costa Blanca”, etc.) hit the charts in many countries in the early 80s [1] .
October 3, 1981 they climbed to 27th place in the Dutch hit parade (Best 40 hits) with the hit "Mama Told Me", and September 4, 1982 - to 25th place with the hit "Costa Blanca" [1] . There are many “Mama Told Me” mixes released after the collapse of Fantastique. In addition, the song hit the soundtrack for the Dutch movie "I am Joep Meloen" ("I am Joep Meloen" / Ik Ben Joep Meloen, 1981).
During its existence, the duo recorded one full album (Fantastique) and five singles (Mama Told Me 1981, Costa Blanca 1982, Maria No Mas 1982, Musica 1982, Everybody Loves The Sunshine 1983) [1] .
