Biography

Born October 23, 1964 in Stockholm . Her father, Austin Obein, comes from Nigeria , and her mother, Gerda Henemark, is Swedish. Parents divorced, and Camilla raised the mother. In her youth she worked in a modeling agency, in 1987 she married Anders Skoog.

In 1987, Camilla became the soloist of the group “ Army of Lovers ”, participated in the recording of Disco Extravaganza and Massive Luxury Overdose, which glorified the group of albums.

In 1992, Camilla left the band and released a solo single, “Everytime You Lie”, which will later be included in Les Greatest Hits . After the divorce, La Camilla met Bo Johan Renkom (Swedish group “ Stakka Bo ”) and married him. In 1993, La Camilla released the single "Give Me Your Love", participated in the creation of the erotic television program "Sjunde Himlen" ("The Seventh Heaven"). Also during this period, she appeared in the clip of the death metal of the group Entombed, for the song Stranger Aeons.

In 1995 , after the departure of Michaela De La Cour , Camilla returned to Army of Lovers , and together they recorded the album Les Greatest Hits. In 1996, Camilla released two singles - "The Witch In Me" & "I'm Not In The Mood For Lovers". In the same year her first album “Temper” was released. At the same time, she broke up with her second husband. She has performed in nightclubs of Stockholm and other cities, including as a stripper .

In 1999 she recorded a duet with Russian performer Danko . Their joint work, Russians Are Coming in the version (Mosqua Remix), got into active rotation of the Europe Plus radio station at that time.

In the early 2000s, Camilla suffered a nervous breakdown [1] , and rumors about the drug and alcohol addiction of the singer [1] began to appear more and more often in tabloids. Because of these rumors, many producers broke contracts with her, financial difficulties after leaving the group also began to pursue Camilla. In 2005, her father passed away. In 2006, Camilla flies to India , where she undergoes a rehabilitation course [1] .

In 2009, she recorded a joint single with the band The Neverland Project called David & Goliath.

In 2013 (February 23), as part of the revived “Army Of Lovers”, she participated in the Swedish Eurovision qualifier with the song Rocking The Ride. The group did not even make it to the top five performers, blamed Camilla for failure, because at the time when the camera shot her, the singer forgot to open her mouth to the phonogram, and perhaps the audience therefore gave few voices for the performance. A manifesto was posted on the band’s official website, which stated that La Camilla would be replaced by La Dominica ( Dominica Pechinski ), formerly the lead singer of “Army of Lovers” ( 1993-1996 , 2001-2003 , 2007 ).

Since June 2015, La Camilla has been taking part in the Swedish show “Stjärnkusken” on TV4.

Personal life

Camilla Henemark was married twice. The first husband was Andres Skuga (the marriage was concluded in 1987), the second - Bo Johan Renk (1992). Both marriages were terminated.

La Camilla is an active supporter of the Social Democratic Party of Sweden and a fighter for the rights of sexual minorities.

Camilla and King of Sweden

In 2010, the book “ Carl Gustav , the monarch willingly” ( Swedish Carl XVI Gustaf - den motvillige monarken ) was published in Sweden, written by the Swedish journalist Thomas Schäberg in collaboration with Deane Rauscher and Tove Meyer. The book claims that the king repeatedly visited nightclubs in the 1990s, as evidenced by the stories of the Serbian-Swedish mafia Mille Markovic , the owner of one of these clubs. The book also says that Camilla Henemark had a relationship with the King of Sweden [2] : as Camilla Deane Rauscher herself said, Karl Gustav “fell in love with her as a teenager,” and although Queen Sylvia found out about the betrayal, she could not prevent her husband’s extra-marital affair [ 3] . Soon, Carl Gustav broke with the singer. Camilla was so hard going through the break that she even thought about suicide [4] . The romance with the king did not bring her any benefit: as the Paris Match magazine wrote, the example of Camilla shows that "Sweden is a country where you can not make a career through the bed" [5] .
