The Pacific ( The Pacific ) - an American television mini-series about the Second World War , created on the basis of memoirs of US Marines Eugene Sledge and Robert Lecky , who fought in battles in the Pacific Ocean during World War II. The plot describes the key battles that went down in history through the eyes of ordinary soldiers and their loved ones.

The Pacific was well received by critics, and received an average rating of 87% on Metacritic review aggregator [3] .
On August 29, 2010, the series won the Emmy Award in the mini-series genre.
