History
The Komissarovka farm is located in the northwest of the Krasnosulinsky district of the Rostov Region along the banks of the Likhoi River. The farm was founded by Cossack Yesaul Dmitry Komissarov. Yesaul, by the definition of the military chancellery of the Donskoy Army area, held on January 22, 1798, was allowed to settle here 39 souls of peasants above the centurion Ilya Popov farm along the Likhoy river.
For some time the village belonged to the Fedorov volost of Cherkasy district. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were 426 courtyards in it and 1686 people lived. In the village there was a parish school, trading shops.
Some of the commissars were engaged in tillage, and most of the people were engaged in coal mining. Coal began to be mined here since the appearance of the first settlers. Coal was mined like this - a thin layer of earth was removed, then pieces were chipped off from the seam and delivered home for their own needs.
The demand for coal contributed to the development of mines in the village and the okrug. Initially, these were small mousetraps, “mousetraps,” and then the business was put on an industrial basis with mechanization. During the years of Soviet rule Komissarovka became a mining village. The Komissarovsky mine office was organized and successfully operates here.
During the Civil War, significant villagers created a detachment under the command of P.F. Romanyutenko. Together with other units, the detachment defended Soviet power.
After the war, on the basis of a partnership for joint cultivation of land, headed by its chairman P.Z. Berkov, the collective farm "Labor of the Red Partisans" was created. The Great Patriotic War crossed out everything.
Hundreds of commissars defended their homeland. 138 of them gave their lives, having died the death of the brave on the battlefields of the war.
The Komissarovites honor the memory of their comrades and the dead soldiers of the 375th separate battalion of the ninth army while protecting the village in the summer of 1942. In the year of the 40th anniversary of the Victory, their remains were reburied. A monument to a Soviet soldier was erected near the school building in the village. For the exploits on the fronts, many residents of the village were awarded government awards, and P. Ya. Kolesnikov became the full holder of the Order of Glory of three degrees.
Nowadays, five Komissarovtsev were Afghan warriors, Junior Sergeant Igor Pivovarov, performing his soldierly duty, died the death of the brave. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star [2] .
