In 1977 he graduated from the Mechanics and Mechanics Department of Dnepropetrovsk State University, majoring in Dynamics and Strength of Machines. Specialist in the stability of thin-walled structures.

Since 1990 , lives in Israel. After leaving for Israel, in 1990 , the album ā€œHouse on the River Bankā€ was released in the USSR with a preface by A. Gorodnitsky , although bard records were not very reluctant at that time, and the artist managed to leave for Israel.

In Israel, Alexander Medvedenko went ā€œhis universitiesā€ - he repaired tires, worked as a factory worker, a security guard, and a broker.

On the radio, Alexander uses the pseudonym ā€œAlexander Dovā€ (ā€œdovā€ in Hebrew means ā€œbearā€), and in reports for Radio ā€œLibertyā€ (being his Israeli correspondent from 1994 to 2000) he was named Alexander Gold (the pseudonym was chosen in accordance with hair color).

Performs concerts in Israel, has repeatedly been on tour in America, Russia and Ukraine.

In Israel, Alexander has published two copyright CDs (ā€œHouse on the River Bankā€ and ā€œAt Any Timeā€), as well as a disk of songs by Bulat Okudzhava in his performance (ā€œMusicianā€). The CD "Favorites" was released by NMC in the series "The Best Bards of Israel." His songs were included in the Anthology of the Israeli author's song ( 2002 ).

The songs ā€œOnce Again about the Riverā€, ā€œSunset Functionā€ (co-authored by Y. Vizbor ), ā€œAt All Timesā€ were included in the Anthology of the author’s song ( 2002 , compiled by D. A.
