He worked as a journalist, theater critic. The first play, "9, 21, 37 for every draw", was written in 1922. Together with L. Ruggi, he created the Experimental Theater in Bologna in 1922. Since 1935 he was engaged in directing activities in theaters of Rome . Since 1935 he wrote film scripts.
