Mausoleum Said Muhammad Mahiriy

Said Muhammad Makhiry - the mausoleum is located on the Sirchali canal on Amir Timur Street in Khiva . The memorial complex consists of three groups of monumental buildings, including the tombs of some Khiva khans. Said Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Rahim Khan II (Feruz) and his grandson Temur Gazi Tura, the son of Isfandiyar Khan were buried here. In special crypts around the mausoleum there are graves of descendants of Khiva khans, their wives and children. According to legend, once there lived a Sufi sheikh called Chadirli Ishan. After his death, he was buried in this place, and the cemetery, which then formed near his grave, became known as Chadirli Ishan. In the second half of the 19th century, Said Muhammad Khan ordered the construction of a mausoleum over the grave of the Sheikh. And as a result, the complex turned into a family crypt of the Khiva khans.
