General Information
The English name is Astral Masters. The main developers have the nicknames Estarh and Cooler ( Alexey Stankevich and Ivan Polyakov, respectively). The game has 4 elements: Fire, Water, Air and Earth (in order of location in the editing window of the deck). Each of the cards belongs to one of the 4 elements. Mostly fantasy thematics: elves , merfolk , giant toads , fairies , golems and so on. The size of the client part of the game is about 39 megabytes .
Jealousy
The world in which the action of Astral Tournament , the Masters of Astral and Spectromancer takes place.
During the Astral Tournament plot, Dorlac created the Spectral Prism: an artifact that decomposes astral magic into pieces, giving full control over it. All the sorcerers of Revolt united against him and won, the Moon was destroyed in the process.
During the plot of the Spectromancer, after a thousand years of peace, the main character, a young magician, a student of one of the Guardians (by default - Rotwang, master of mechanics, in version 1.1 - Akaboli, keeper of Illusion, in versions up to 1.1 - Flora, Keeper of Holiness) receives an order from the goddess Celestia to defeat all the Guardians (who fell under the destructive influence of a prism that seeks to recreate the former world order) and transfer the Shards to it. He was Dorlak, who was given a chance to correct the evil he had done. [2]
Gameplay
There are 3 game modes in the game:
- Classic duel. A duel using pseudo-random decks generated by a computer (the number of cards for each level is predetermined).
- Duel collected decks. You can make a deck before the game and play it. However, each card has its price in the so-called “mental power”. Initially, you are given a little of it, but with victories its number increases and you can recruit more diverse decks.
- Round table (draft). Before the start of duels, each player is shown a panel with 25 cards. He must choose one card at the same time in the beginning he is given 60 seconds, and then the time to choose starts to decrease, the rest pass in a circle. After that, each player makes a deck, which consists of a minimum of 15 cards, a maximum of 25. The minimum number of players is 4.
To protect against a duel after 50 moves, the starting player loses after starting.
You can play both offline (with a computer) and online (with real people).
Offline
There are 3 possibilities:
Leagues
The first opportunity is leagues. Playing in the League allows you to gradually learn the strategy and tactics of playing with a computer. You are given 600 units of mental power, on which you can collect one or more decks of cards. Two learning decks are also provided. Only three leagues - primary, middle and highest. In each of the leagues, you will face a computer opponent with a certain deck and style of play.
Classic Duel
The second possibility is classic duels (you can choose the difficulty level of the bot).
Selected Decks
The third possibility is selected decks. The developers provided 9 decks on the heights of mental power and the ability to create their own.
Online
Here there are all three types - classical duels, their decks, tournaments.
- Classic duel .
Duel using pseudo-random decks. A pair of decks (player and opponent) is created by game developers.
- Your decks .
Duel using the decks you create. You can use at least one card at a time in one deck. If only 1 element is used in the deck, the total price of the cards of the deck is reduced by a 90% multiplier, and the price of the deck becomes 10% less than the price of the amount of cards of the deck. If 2 elements are used in the deck, the price of the deck remains equal to the price of the sum of the cards of the deck. If 3 elements are used in the deck, the total price of cards of the deck increases by 130% multiplier, and the price of the deck becomes 30% higher than the price of the amount of cards of the deck. If 4 elements are used in the deck, the total price of cards of the deck increases by a 150% multiplier, and the price of the deck becomes 50% higher than the price of the amount of cards of the deck. The price of the deck can not exceed the mental power of the player. The created deck must contain from 30 to 50 cards.
- Tournaments .
There are 3 types of tournaments (only the differences related to the fact that these are tournaments are described here):
- Classic duel .
The player who created the tournament starts the tournament at any time, after at least 4 participants of the tournament are recruited who confirmed their participation in the tournament while in his room. After this, classical duels between the participants of the tournament begin, according to the scheme “everyone plays 1 time with each”. When a player exits during a tournament, one or more players, depending on the initial number of players and the number of remaining players, may be caught by those with whom they have already played.
- Your decks .
When creating a tournament, the player chooses the mental power at which the tournament will take place. The player who created the tournament starts the tournament at any time, after at least 4 participants of the tournament are recruited who confirmed their participation in the tournament while in his room. After that, players are given time to choose an existing one or create a new deck on the mental power chosen by the tournament creator. Then duels between participants of the tournament begin, according to the scheme “everyone plays 1 time with each”.
- Round table
Elements
- Fire - Fire cards are focused on inflicting maximum damage to enemy creatures and the enemy, direct destruction of creatures, reduction of the enemy's astral power, deprivation of his cards; among them there are many cheap, but at the same time effective creatures that can be used to accelerate damage to the enemy, including at the beginning of the battle.
- Water - Water maps are focused on increasing the astral power of their owner, searching for the right maps; the element in its pure form has a clear bias in the slow control and dominance on the battlefield (for example, merfolk, giant toad).
- Air - Air cards are focused on inflicting non-blockable damage directly on the opponent, increasing the destructive effect of spells, receiving new cards, returning creatures to their master’s hand, stealing enemy creatures to the player’s hand.
- Earth - Earth maps are focused on restoring the lives of both the player and his creatures, on dealing damage to all opponents at the same time, getting a player’s mana; the creatures of this element are the most diverse, a significant part of them has the ability to call cards from the player’s deck (for example, gnomes, elves). The elements of the Earth include almost all types of golems (with the exception of the ice golem, which is a water card).
