Oscar Subia ( Spanish: Joffre Oscar Zubía ; February 8, 1946 , Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan footballer . He performed at the River Plate and Peñarol clubs in Uruguay, as well as at Quito in Ecuador. The Uruguayan national team is a bronze medalist [1] of the 1970 World Cup. At the end of his career, he worked as a coach.

Biography
Oscar Subia began his career at the River Plate Club of Montevideo in 1967 . A year later, he began to be drafted into the national team of Uruguay.
In 1970, as part of the Uruguayan national team, he took part in the World Cup, where he played in two matches - against Italy and Sweden . Thus, Subia made his contribution to winning the Celeste bronze medals of the mundial, which are given to the fourth-place team.
In the same 1970, Subia became part of the Uruguayan and world football grandeur Peñarola. Unfortunately, for the three years spent with Karboneros, Subia did not achieve major titles.
Since 1972, Subia has been a player in the Ecuadorian LDU Quito. There, he became a real star and a leader on the field, and many local experts are recognized as the greatest player of the LDU of the 1970s . Oscar's goals and leadership helped Liga win the Ecuador Champion title twice in 1974 and 1975 .
In 1979, Subia ended his playing career. For many years he led the youth and youth teams of the LDU, and in the 1997-1998 season he led the main team, winning the 1998 Ecuador Championship.
