Biography
Born March 1 (14), 1915 in the village of Lugovaya Proleika, Tsarevsky district, Astrakhan province of the Russian Empire (now in the Bykovsky district of the Volgograd region ) in a peasant family. In 1930 he graduated from the 7th grade of a junior high school . He graduated from the Stalingrad flying club . He worked as a glider at the Stalingrad plant " Barricades ".
In the Red Army since 1938 . In 1939 he graduated from the Borisoglebsk Military Aviation Pilot School .

With Alexander Chislov, Alexey Maresyev made his first flight after being wounded.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of August 24, 1943 “for courage and military valor shown in battles with enemies,” the guard Captain Chislov Alexander Mikhailovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 1116).

After the war
After the war, he continued his service of the Air Force of the USSR . After the transfer of the Air Force to jet aircraft, he served as the head of the air rifle training of the 63rd Guards Order of Vilna Kutuzov fighter aviation regiment .
In June 1956, Colonel Alexander Mikhailovich Chislov , the guard , was transferred to the reserve for health reasons. He moved with his family to the hero city of Stalingrad (now Volgograd). From 1961 to 1979 he worked as the head of the Traktorozavod rescue station . He conducted active work on military-patriotic education of youth.
He died on August 24, 2009 . He was buried in the cemetery of the Traktorozavodsky district of Volgograd.

- On the street of Barrikadnaya , on the facade of the building of the former Volgograd Regional Committee of DOSAAF (now ROSTO ), on November 6, 1967, a granite memorial plaque was inaugurated with the names of pilots who were pupils of the Stalingrad Aero Club named after N.S. Khzluznov , awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for outstanding feats in battles in the defense of the socialist homeland, among them there are A. Chislov
- In Traktorozavodsky district of Volgograd, on house number 8, on the street of Academician Pavlov , in which Alexander Mikhailovich lived, a memorial plaque was installed after his death, life-time was transferred to the building of secondary school No. 51, located in the neighborhood.
