The river originates from the village of Mala Legota at an altitude of 550 m above sea level. It flows into Nitra near Nove Zamky . It flows through the cities of Zlate Moravec , Vrabla .

The ecology of the river is affected by a strong anthropogenic human intervention [1] [2] .
