Biography
Born in the family of a famous writer, local historian, translator-Japanese writer Nikolai Amursky . His godfather was a volunteer Ivan Yuvachev , an exile, in the future - the father of Daniel Kharms .
He began to write poetry by a schoolboy . The first collection of poems "Gusts" was released in 1914 in Vladivostok. In the same place, in the father’s printing house, he published the poems “The Black House” and “Songs” under the brand name of the Haishin-vey publishing house.
In 1918 he traveled to Japan, wrote tanka and hoku , sent travel notes to Far Eastern magazines. In his collection “Songs” (Vladivostok, 1917) there are translations dated from 1914 from Japanese poets, in particular from Emperor Mutsuhito, who was raised to the throne of Japan by the Meiji revolution .
In the summer of 1920, he left for Harbin . He published about twelve books of his own poems and translations of ancient Chinese poets. At that time, he became addicted to morphine and smoking opium. In 1922 he released the miniature short story "At the Love Crossroads of Fad."
At the end of 1923, he returned to the USSR with his wife and five-year-old son, where he published a number of prose books, including on oriental topics.
He took an active part in unofficial literary life, became close to Daniil Kharms , became the prototype of the “September poet” in Konstantin Vaginov ’s novel “Goat Song”.
He was friends with Sergei Yesenin . He was a famous brawler and drinker. Here is a story retold by his son:

In mid-October 1928, he was arrested in Moscow for a quarrel with assault. He was in Butyrka prison . After the verdict, the court was sent to Saratov for three years.
In 1932 he settled in Kiev .
Re-arrested on June 12, 1937 on charges of spying for Japan. Sentenced under Article 54-6, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR (espionage), executed on October 16, 1937 [1]
