Career

He made his debut in the French championship on March 4, 2007 in the 1st round match against Saint-Etienne , replacing him in the 69th minute instead of Yaroslav Plashil [2] . Then, having played the second round, he disappeared from the squad until the end of the season, leaving only in the last 3 games. This season, Mongongu spent 32 matches out of 33 rounds completely, without substitutions, not having played only in the 29th due to busting yellow cards. In the winter transfer window of 2010, Arsenal , Liverpool , Manchester United , and Juventus were actively eyeing him [3] . But most of all the press got him into Milan to replace Kakha Kaladze [4] . However, Cedric did not go to any of these clubs, remaining in Monaco and signed a new contract with the club until the summer of 2013 [5] .
