On a 1903 map of the Cherkasy district of the Region, the Don Army is called Nikolaevsky-Sadkovsky;

According to the list of "Cossack settlements in 1918" belonged to the village of Novocherkasskaya and was called Sadkovsko-Nikolaevsky.

History

The settlement of Krasnoshchekovy Sadky, which was here earlier, was settled on Sadki's beam not far from its confluence on the right side into r. Kundryuchyu . The peasants of this settlement in 1862 were resettled on the river. Miuss. Since that time, the Cossacks began to populate the area occupied by the settlement.

There is no information about the time of the initial settlement of Sadkovskaya Sloboda, but in 1749 it existed and belonged at that time to sergeant Fyodor Krasnoshchyov . In 1767 there were 4 courtyards in this settlement, there were 22 males in them, and 6 souls of the Little Russians of females [1] .

In the farm was the Nativity of the Mother of God Church, which was part of the Alexandrovsky-Hrushevskoe bounty of the Don diocese. In 1915, there were 517 households, 1,600 men, 1,503 women in the farm. In addition to the church, in the farm there was a farm administration, a parish school, a parochial school.

Since 1835, in the former settlement Sadak, there was a wooden, in the name of the Resurrection of the Lord, a monastic church, a prayer house, which burned down in 1875. Instead, in 1877, a new, wooden, in the name of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, church of the same monastery was built.

In GARO, the metric books of the Nativity of the Theotokos Church are in storage. Sadkovsky-Nikolaevsky for the following years: 1850-1851, 1853-1869, 1871, 1874, 1883. A total of 22 metric books. In addition, there are in custody the clearing lists of the churches of the Alexander-Hrushevsky deanery for different years. From these documents one can get information about the construction of the church, about its clergymen, about who held elective posts of churchwarden and proforcy.
