Popara (dish)

Popara or Masonry is a popular dish in Bulgaria , Serbia , Montenegro , Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina , made with old or freshly sliced bread and soaked in milk , tea or hot water .

Traditionally, it is prepared from bread of two or three days freshness, which is poured with hot liquid (tea, milk, in the simplest version of water), sometimes feta cheese, butter, olives are added.
