Biography
Pupil of the club "El Nacional". He made his debut for the main team in 1997 , until 1999 he periodically played for the youth team. In 2001, he was first called up to the Ecuador national team, and a year later he accepted in its composition in the CONCACAF Gold Cup , where the South American team received a special invitation.
In 2005, he became the champion of Ecuador and immediately left the country by signing a contract with the Qatari club Al-Wakra. In 2006, he performed at the World Cup, where Ecuador managed to break into the number of 16 strongest national teams of the planet. At the German championship, Lara was one of the shortest players (162 centimeters).
In 2007, Christian Lara returned to Ecuador, to the camp of principled rivals of El Nacional - LDU Quito. Having won the national title for the second time, he moved to Barcelona Guayaquil , where he was also a solid base player, and also decided not to continue playing for the club for more than a year.
In early 2009, he played for the Colombian Deportivo Pereira, but in the middle of the year he returned to the LDU.
