Biography
The son of the artist of the Moscow Operetta Theater Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Bogachev and actress Lenkom Ella Burovoy.
He graduated from the Gnesins School of Music , Moscow Conservatory (teacher Zurab Sotkilava , then Vladimir Atlantov ).
He began work in the theater operetta in the play "The Old Man Hottabych ", played Volku, and his father - Hottabych.
On the recommendation of Elena Obraztsova, she was accepted into the Bolshoi Theater , where she worked for thirteen years, performed 25 major parties in operas.
The first performance on the professional opera stage was the role of Jose in the opera " Carmen " on November 17, 1985 . In the first year of work, he performed 12 main parts (a unique case in the history of the theater) [1] .
From 1985 to 1998 he was the soloist of the Bolshoi Theater. Possessing a rare voice lyric-spinto, he preferred the repertoire of the heroic tenor.
After being injured in an accident , in 1999 he was dismissed from the theater, but regained his health and began performing abroad, where he became one of the leading performers of the dramatic tenor repertoire - Hermann , Othello , Canio .
Works under contracts in the Metropolitan Opera , Covent Garden , La Scala , the Vienna State Opera . Permanent participant in the Chaliapin festival in Kazan [2] .
