SmsCoin (from SMS and English coin - coin) is a provider of mobile payment services, in particular SMS payments, providing premium SMS services in 92 countries, working with hundreds of mobile operators around the world [1] . The maximum development of coverage was chosen as the main direction of development, and according to this indicator, the project manages to maintain leadership for almost the entire period of its existence. History
2006
The project was launched in July 2006 with coverage in 4 countries ( Russia , Ukraine , Kazakhstan , Israel ) and 3 services (SMS: chat, SMS: key and SMS: bank). In November, an additional SMS service was added: transit and by the end of the year 13 countries were already connected in the project.
2007
At the very beginning of the year, the project connected several more countries, and also created extensions for browsers and midlets for its partners for more convenient viewing of statistics. In February, the English version of the resource was launched. On its anniversary, the project provided 5 SMS services in 18 countries for more than 5 thousand partners and processing more than a million SMS messages [4] .
2008
Since the beginning of the year, the company launched a new program for developing ready-made modules for popular CMS , publishing the first 10. Also, a new SMS service was added: content, and in April the project announced a connection in 30 countries [5] . As part of fierce competition, the project increased payments to partners, added the ability to choose its prefix, switched to payments in rubles for SMS in Russia, and even began to pay partner fees every 5 days (upon request). In October, a centralized support service was launched integrating communication through various quick messaging services . In November, it announced the connection in 40 countries.
2009
In March, the project announced another expansion and the number of countries became equal to 50, connecting several countries of Latin America at once [6] , and in May another 6 countries of the Middle East were connected. For the three-year anniversary, the project completely changed the design and structure of the site, making it much more convenient. Immediately a new SMS service was introduced: donate. At the end of the year, 65 countries [7] were included in the project, including the latest “acquisitions”: China , Taiwan , Hong Kong . Throughout the year, the library of ready-made modules was significantly expanded as part of the program launched in 2008.
2010
The year began with the inclusion of countries such as India [8] and Cyprus , which were unique at that time for the market, as well as several other countries that added up to 71. In the summer, the list of countries replenished: Italy , Vietnam , Guatemala , Honduras , and the Dominican Republic were added. , Nicaragua , El Salvador , Panama , Paraguay , Kosovo , Algeria , Sudan , Morocco , Thailand . In December 2010, the total number of connected countries was 88 [9] .
2011
The connection of new countries - Kenya , Ghana , Costa Rica and Uruguay , as well as an increase in the tariff range. Significantly expanded base of ready-made modules for various CMS; in October, a new product was launched - a library of in-house payments for devices based on the Android OS .
2018
The company continues to exist and collaborate with large projects such as Odnoklassniki.ru , Mamba.ru , Alawar .

The service was repeatedly used by fraudsters and despite the fact that they were blocked, the too simple process of registration and use of services was repeatedly criticized.
