Bogucharka

Geography

The river flows in the southern part of the Voronezh region, which is located on the spurs of the Don massif with absolute marks of more than 150 meters. The territory of the river basin is a hilly area with outcrops of Cretaceous deposits, in which Cretaceous karst occurs.

The highest catchment mark is 233 m , it is located in the headwaters of the Left Bogucharka. On the watershed with the Belaya River, the elevation decreases to 203 m.

21 rivers with a length of more than 21 km flow on the catchment surface . The most significant of them is the Left Bogucharka with a length of 61 km. The swampiness of the Bogucharka basin is small.

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Don Basin District , the water sector of the river is Don from the city of Pavlovsk to the mouth of the Khopyor River , without the Podgornaya River, the river sub-basin of the river is the basins of the Don tributaries until the Khopra inflow.
