Alibek waterfall is one of the largest and most spectacular waterfalls in Dombay [1] , in the western (upper) part of the Alibek gorge in the south of Karachay-Cherkessia ( Russia ). Also has the name Alibek [2] . The height of the waterfall is more than 25 meters . The waterfall is formed by the fall of the Dzhalovchatka river from the Alibek Glacier [3] ; stones from which water falls are called " lamb foreheads " [4] .

Alibek waterfall appeared in the XX century. Back in the 1930s there was no waterfall, and the rocky scarp was covered with the language of the Alibek glacier , which every year retreats up to a meter and a half [5] .
Popular object of hiking . Located in the territory of the Teberdinsky reserve . The closest locations: Alibek camp (1.6 km along the trail), Dombay village (6.5 km along the road).
