Modern Kazakhstan is undergoing a period of national revival [1] ; In the report of President N. A. Nazarbayev [2], changes in the country are characterized as a revival of national statehood [3] [4] . Also, folk crafts [5] , folk customs, rites and national sports [6] , the religion of the titular nation [7] [8] , national education and the Kazakh language [9] , the song genre and versification in the Kazakh language [10] are being revived. .
At the XIII session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the Head of State N. A. Nazarbayev [2] emphasized [11] :
we must make every effort for the further development of the Kazakh language, which is the main factor in uniting all Kazakhstanis. At the same time, create favorable conditions so that representatives of all nationalities living in the country can freely speak, study in their native language, and develop it.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 24, 1996 No. 56-I “On Culture” [12] regulates public relations in the field of creation, revival, preservation, development, use and dissemination of the Kazakh national culture, culture of other peoples of Kazakhstan. [13]
Previously, there was a conscious eradication and destruction of traditions throughout the entire twentieth century. Over the seventy-year Soviet period, Kazakhstan fought against traditions as "remnants of the past." [14]
Language
Kazakh language is the state language of the Republic of Kazakhstan .
Currently, the so-called Kazakhization is developing in Kazakhstan.
Cultural events in Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan is known for its festivals such as the Shaken Stars , the Prize of Traditions and the closed festivals Eurasia and Voice of Asia . Tarlan Prizes and the newly formed "Cinema Action-Astana" .
Two months before the start of the VII Winter Asian Games-2011, the program "Cultural Asian Games" starts in Kazakhstan. [15] [16]
Theatrical art
In 2009, republican theaters staged over a thousand performances. According to the head of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Kul-Mohammed [17] , theatrical premieres are held at the full house, it is already difficult to get tickets. [18]
Cinema
The Alma-Ata newsreel studio was organized in 1934 , and later on January 9, 1960 , it was renamed the Kazakhfilm film studio. [18] Currently (2010) this is the only film studio in the Republic. In Kazakhstan, only the Kazakhfilm studio was also engaged in animation.
In recent years, film production has been actively developing outside of Kazakhfilm and directly with its participation. These are studios such as Sataifilm, Mausymfilm and many others. Also, television channels KTK, Kazakhstan, etc. take part in the production of cinema.

- The National Archival Fund of the Republic of Kazakhstan [22] - stores documents of the historical and cultural heritage of the people of Kazakhstan.

In 1989, Kazakhstan had 99 museums and 9,700 libraries. [23]
