The 2000 season is the 5th in the history of the revived BATE FC and the 3rd season in the Premier League of the Belarus Football Championship , in which the club won a silver medal for the second time. In the Belarus Cup 2000-2001, the team reached the quarter finals.
In the summer of 2000, the team first started in the UEFA Champions League . Having defeated the Armenian club “Shirak” in the first round of the tournament, in the second BATE lost to the Swedish “Helsingborg” .
