Young years

Vince Neal was born on February 8, 1961 in Hollywood . His parents are Ody and Shirley Wharton. Throughout the 1960s, his family moved from Southern California, from Inglewood to Watts, before their final move to Glendora . Neal had problems at school due to fights and drug use, which ultimately led to his expulsion. As a teenager, Neil was fond of music, as well as surfing, basketball, baseball, football and wrestling.

Musical career

Joining Mötley Crüe

Neil was the lead singer of the power pop band Rock Candy. [3] At a Rock Candy concert in Hollywood, Vince was spotted by Mick Mars and advised Mötley Crüe to invite him. At first, Vince refused, but after the repeated offer to join, received from an old school friend Tommy Lee , agreed. Mötley Crüe at that time was looking for a vocalist and was impressed by Neil, after his audition hosted by Tommy Lee. In 1981, Mötley Crüe released their debut album, Too Fast for Love . In 1983, Mötley Crüe released the highly successful album “ Shout at the Devil ”, with which they declared themselves to be a major figure on the rock scene of the time. In 1985, Mötley Crüe released the album “ Theater of Pain ”. In 1987, the group released another successful album, Girls, Girls, Girls . Two years later, in September 1989, Mötley Crüe's best-selling album, “ Dr. Feelgood . " The album was released after the group underwent drug dependence treatment. This was caused by an overdose of heroin by bassist Nikki Sixx in December 1987. Sixx was in a state of clinical death, but with two injections of adrenaline in his heart he was brought back to life. This incident inspired him to write the song “Kickstart My Heart”. But the group manager canceled the upcoming European tour and insisted that all members of the group undergo drug treatment with the warning: “If you guys go to Europe, one of you will return in a corpse bag”

Porn Post

In 1993, during a vacation in Hawaii, Vince Neal recorded a film in which he had sex with porn actress Janine Lindmalder and model Brandy Ledford. Internet Entertainment Group, which distributed homemade porn videos of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson , was about to release this video. However, Ledford did not give permission to mention her in this video, since her film career was only at dawn. Yet this video was released, but under the title "Janine and Vince Neil Hardcore Uncensored." Brandy Ledford's name was not mentioned, and her face was covered.

Hard Times

At the end of 1984, the Finnish glam punk band Hanoi Rocks was on their first American tour. On December 8th, the members of Hanoi Rocks, with the exception of the vocalist, and the members of Mötley Crüe spent the day at Vince Neal's home, located on Redondo Beach. After Neal ran out of alcohol, he and Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley set off on Vince's car to the liquor store. Neal lost control of the car and crashed into another car. Two passengers of another car were seriously injured, and Dingli died. Vince was convicted of drunk driving and manslaughter. His level of alcohol intoxication was .1.7, while the acceptable level in California was .0.8.

In July 1986, Los Angeles County Chief Justice Edward Hinz, Jr. sentenced Vince to 30 days of imprisonment, 200 hours of community service, five years of probation and the payment of 2.6 million dollars to the victims of the accident, in compensation. Neil was released from prison 15 days later for good behavior. Mötley Crüe's next album, Theater of Pain , released in 1985, was dedicated to the memory of Dingley [4]

The 90s became the most difficult for the singer. The Mötley Crüe scandal led Vince to leave the band. And all because because of problems with the then-wife of Vince-Shariz, the musician could not appear at rehearsals. During the four years that Vince spent separately from Mötley Crüe, neither he maintained any contact with the group nor they with him. They found a replacement for musician John Corabi.

When Neil leaves the band, the worst catastrophe in the life of a musician falls out. His daughter, Skylar, at the age of 4, is hospitalized with a cancer in the abdomen. Doctors at first thought that the child had a torn appendix. But, having operated on it, they were terrified - the tumor was very large. An operation was performed to remove this tumor, but the girl did not feel better. This ailment literally began to devour other organs: kidneys, lungs, liver, some back muscles. For 5 months, doctors fought for the life of little Skylar. During this time, the girl underwent surgery to remove the right kidney, infected muscles of the back and part of the liver. As Neil himself admitted, he realized too late how much he loves his daughter (I remind you that this is not the musician’s first child, at 16 he had a son). Vince tried his best to cheer Skylar as best he could. "Any of her facial expressions: whether she sneezed, yawned or smiled, Shariz and I took it as the most expensive gift," the musician later reported. Once, on the eve of Easter, Vince ordered people from the Warnet Brothers company to dress in the costumes of the cartoon heroes Skylar loved so much and come to her ward and the children who were lying there too and congratulated them on the holiday. Neil himself dressed in an Easter bunny costume and handed out colored eggs to all of them. The life of the little girl was also worried about Vince's new girlfriend, Heidi, who spent days in the hospital with him and his wife Shariz, whose divorce proceedings had not yet been completed. And so, once, having survived many operations, Skylar was allowed to take home, provided that they would bring her only for chemotherapy. But the joy was not long. The girl was getting worse. She slept less and cried more and more. Vince took her back to the hospital. But the doctors no longer gave the hope that all those 5 months had given: they warned that it was time to call relatives to say goodbye to the girl. Soon, she stopped breathing and was connected to an artificial respiration apparatus. At this time, she underwent her last operation to remove cancerous tissue from the only remaining kidney. And three days later the girl died. Vince did not have time to say goodbye to his daughter. And after her death, went into a binge.

June 27, 2010 in Las Vegas , Nevada , Vince Neal was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Vince, 49, was taken to Clark County Pretrial Detention Prison, where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. [5] On January 18, 2011, a sentence was passed in this case - a two-week sentence followed by house arrest for the same period. The term of imprisonment was set less than was possible, as the musician pleaded guilty and made a deal with justice [6] .

In September 2010, a woman turned to the Las Vegas police with a charge against Vince Neal. She claimed that Neil attacked her while they were riding together in the elevator of the Hilton hotel in Las Vegas on the evening of September 5th . [7]

Other facts

In 2016, Neil starred in the role of himself in the television movie Shark Tornado 4: Awakening . [8]
