Daityas ( Skt. दैत्य ) in Hinduism is a race of giants who, along with the Danavas, were opponents of the virgins , [1] fighting with them out of envy. Daityas were asuras , children of Diti and the sage Kasyapa . The most famous Hindu literature heroes belonging to the Daityas were Bali , Hiranyakasipu and Hiranyaksha .
