Vibration exciter

Vibration exciter - a mechanical device designed to generate vibration in road construction machinery .

According to the principle of operation, vibration exciters are divided into the following types:

  • centrifugal - vibration is generated when one or more unbalances are rotated;
  • planetary - vibration is generated when the slider moves in a planetary mechanism; such vibration exciters are used to create high-frequency vibration (up to 20,000 vibrations per minute);
  • electromagnetic vibration exciters are most common; in such devices, the vibration-exciting force is the variable attractive force of the electromagnets .
Vibrating driver with centrifugal vibration exciter: 1 - electric motor ; 2 - an intermediate gear ; 3 - synchronizing gears; 4 - unbalance ; 5 - a headgear; 6 - pile

Vibration exciters are used in vibration dampers , in soil compaction machines, in submersible vibrators, in sorting machines , etc.
