History

The name of the group is an acronym, abbreviation: Impaled stands for I mmoral Medical Practitioners An ld icentious E vil- D oers (Immoral Medical Practices And Immoral Evil Performers). The team was founded by guitarist Sean McGrath at the end of 1996 together with drummer Raul Wairel, guitarist Jarad Deaver (former member of Deeds of Flesh and Severed Savior ) and bassist Ron Dorn.

Each Impaled member has an alias: Dr. Sean "Bloodbath" McGrath - MD (Medical Deviant) Dr. Jason Kocol - EMT (Emergency Metal Technician) Dr. Raul Varela - Ph.D. (Doctor of Philandering) Dr. "Monsewer" Ross Sewage - RN (Registered Nut)

In 1998, Leon del Muerte, a former Exhumed guitarist, joined the band as a lead vocalist. When Jerad Diver left, Leon took on the role of guitarist. Due to conflicts related to the tour schedule, Ron Dorn left the band and was temporarily replaced by bassist Ross Siouge, who at that time was already playing Exhumed . Later, Suege was chosen as a full member rather than a temporary member of Impaled.

In 1999, the group released a demo From Here To Colostomy , for which the group has already gained some fame. A year later, Impaled was invited to record a split album with Cephalic Carnage playing deathgrind on Italian label Headfucker Records . The band released their debut album, The Dead Shall Dead Remain , which toured with bands such as Nile and Incantation .

In the same year, the group released a split with Engorged and performed with the death metal bands Vader and Skinless . After the tour, Leon del Muerte left and was replaced by Andrew LaBarre, a member of Hoarfrost and Prevail .

The new Mondo Medicale album was released in 2002. However, in an interview, participants said, the cover of Mondo Medicale, then banned in 84 countries, was only a trick to shock. After the Mondo Medicale tour, LaBarre left the band and was replaced by Jason Kokol.

In 2004, the band recorded Death After Life . It was not released in 2005 due to minor difficulties with the label.

The group participated in the recording of the tributes of Carcass and Impetigo .

Several Impaled members play Ghoul and have already released three albums.

In 2007, the group switched to Willowtip Records to sell albums in Europe. The recording, titled "The Last Gasp," was completed in August and released on November 5th.
