History
The magazine was founded in 1914 and is the printed organ of the Botanical Society of America (BOA). BOA is produced in conjunction with the publishing house HighWire Press ( USA ) from Stanford University .
In 2009, he was included in the List of 100 most influential journals of biology and medicine over the past 100 years , taking first place in the Botany section [1] .
In 2010, the 97th volume was released.
Theme
Peer-reviewed journal articles publish the results of scientific research in all areas of botany, including: morphology , anatomy , developmental biology , biodiversity conservation, genetics , evolutionary biology and systematics , and at all levels of plant organization, from molecular to ecosystem level. Accepted work on all groups of plants and related organisms, including cyanobacteria , algae , fungi and lichens . There are also review articles in the journal, reports on topical issues, book reviews, criticism and analysis of controversial issues.
