Biography
Gabriela Komleva was born on December 27, 1938 in Leningrad .

Since 1957 - at the Leningrad Opera and Ballet Theater. Kirov (now the Mariinsky Theater ). Immediately proved to be a classical dancer of lyrical and dramatic talent. Excellent mastery of the classical dance technique, confident mastery, and musicality made her the leading ballerina of the theater.
The images created by the ballerina are unforgettable:
“... In her work, the perfection of the form of instrumental dance was combined with a vivid acting talent that allowed her to perform a repertoire unique in diversity - from lyrical to tragic. The richness and expressiveness of colors made each role emotionally saturated. An outstanding performer of the academic repertoire, recognized as “Ballerina Petipa”. The image of Nikiya , created by Komleva, is shocking with the power of feelings. Complex, contradictory natures, dramatic fates, such as Mehmene Banu and the Mistress of the copper mountain ... are close to the ballerinas. ”
