Maxim Sergeyevich Matlakov (born March 5, 1991 ) - Russian chess player , grandmaster ( 2010 ). Champion of St. Petersburg (2009), European Champion (2017) [1] .

Biography

Engaged in a chess club to them. Alekhina ( Pushkin ) and SDYUSSHOR No. 2 ( St. Petersburg ). Among his mentors are Sergey Alexandrovich Rumyantsev, Sergey Vladimirovich Khavsky , Alexei Mikhailovich Yuneev and Sergey Vladimirovich Ivanov . After graduating from school No. 606 in Pushkin, he entered the St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance .

Repeatedly won in the youth championships of Russia in groups up to 12, 14, 16 and 18 years. He won bronze at the world championships among boys and girls under 12 years old ( Halkidiki , 2003) and under 14 years old ( Belfort , 2005). In 2009, he became the world champion among participants under 18 years old at competitions held in the Turkish city of Kemer .

He played in several championships in St. Petersburg . In 2004 he took 9th, 2007 - 3rd, 2008 and 2010 - 2nd places. In the 82nd championship of St. Petersburg (2009), he shared the first place with Pavel Anisimov and Vasily Emelin , but beat them by additional indicators [2] .

At international competitions: 65th festival “Peter Rook” ( Peterhof , 2008) - 3rd, 67th festival “Peter Rook” (Peterhof, 2008) - 3rd, Aivars Gipslis Memorial ( Riga , 2009) - 1 e; festival of memory of Miguel Naydorf ( Warsaw , 2009) - 1st, “Lake Sevan” ( Martuni , 2010) - 3rd places. Since 2007, an international master, in 2010 receives the title of grandmaster.

In club competitions, among other things, he played for the Griffin and Club them. Chigorina ”(both - St. Petersburg), Reverte Albox ( Spain ) and Sollentuna SK ( Sweden ).

In 2012, he took second place in the European Team Championship as part of the SPbShF team.

In March 2012, he shared 2-11 places in the personal European Championship, according to additional indicators, he became 6.
