For the second time in three seasons, and for the first time since the 2008 season, 8 teams from the Western Conference were to win at least 50 matches. The difference between the teams was only 7 wins, the difference between the 8 seeded team and the 1st was as minimal as in the 2008 playoffs.
Cleveland won 61 matches, which is the best result in the number of victories won in the NBA regular season after Indiana Pacers won 61 games in the 2003-04 season [2] .
The Los Angeles Lakers became the NBA champion, beating the Boston Celtics in the final with a score of 4-3. This is the 16th title in club history. [3] Kobe Bryant was recognized as the MVP of the NBA Playoffs Final. [4]

Grid
The teams in bold are in the next round. The numbers to the left of each team show the seeding number of the team in their conference, and the numbers to the right show the number of team games won in this round. Division champions are marked with an asterisk. The advantage of the home site in the NBA finals does not belong to the team above the seeded one, but to the team with the best wins / losses in the regular season (for example, the 4-seeded team in the Western Conference may have a better win / lose rate in the season than the 3-seeded team in the Eastern Conference , and therefore will have the advantage of a home court if they converge in the final), teams with an advantage of a home court are shown in italics.
