Nastvolnitsy [1] ( lat. Xylota ) is a genus of flies from the subfamily Eristalinae [2] [3] . The composition of this genus previously included the now independent Brachypalpoides and Chalcosyrphus genera [4] .

Description
Flies with an elongated body, similar to sawflies . Abdomen or completely black or with yellow or gray spots. Legs over a greater extent black. Larvae develop in rotten wood [2]
