Andrei Vladimirovich Bokov (born September 26, 1943 [1] , Moscow ) - Russian architect , doctor of architecture , vice president of the International Academy of Architecture , President of the Moscow branch of the International Academy of Architecture (MAAM), Director General of the State Unitary Enterprise MNIIIP "Mosproject-4" (1998 —2014), President of the Union of Architects of Russia (2008-2016), academician of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences , corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts , People’s Architect of the Russian Federation (2016).

Biography

In 1966 he graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute . From 1966 to 1970 he worked as an architect, then as a senior architect of the Mosproject Design Department. In 1970-1972 he studied at the graduate school of the Central Scientific Research Institute of Theory and History of Architecture , where in 1973 he defended his thesis on "Architectural and spatial organization of multifunctional complexes and structures." In 1972-1974 he worked and. about. Junior Researcher, and. about. Senior Researcher at the same institute. From 1974 to 1981 he was a senior researcher and head of the sector of the Central Research Institute for the experimental design of spectacular buildings and sports facilities named after B. Mezentseva. In 1981 - 1988, he worked at the Moscow Research and Design Institute of Culture, Leisure, Sports and Health Care Facilities. In 1988, he was appointed deputy director of the institute for scientific work at the All-Union Research Institute of Theory of Architecture and Urban Planning. From 1991 to 1998, A. Bokov worked as the chief architect of the Moscow Research and Design Institute of Culture, Recreation, Sports and Health Care Facilities. In 1994 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Geometric foundations of architecture and a picture of the world."

From 1998 to 2014, he was the General Director of the Moscow Research and Design Institute of Culture, Recreation, Sports and Healthcare Objects Mosproject-4.

In 2004 he was awarded the title of Honored Architect of the Russian Federation . [2]

From 2008 to 2016 - President of the Union of Architects of Russia .

Since 2008 - academician of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences . Awarded the Order of Honor . [3]

October 26, 2016 for great services in the field of architecture and many years of conscientious work awarded the honorary title " People's Architect of the Russian Federation " [4]

Since 2017 - head of the Center for Spatial Planning NICH of the Moscow Architectural Institute (MARCHI)]. [five]

The author of two books and more than 50 articles in domestic and foreign publications. He conducted theoretical studies on the problems of resettlement, urban design and the development of social infrastructure in Moscow. One of the ideologists of the "environmental approach in architecture" and the network resettlement system. For several years he taught at the Moscow Architectural Institute , MIIZ , Moscow State Academic Art Institute. V.I. Surikov , Central Training and Experimental Studio of the Union of Artists of the USSR (the so-called Senezh Studio).

Winner of the National Crystal Daedalus Award for 2001, 2002 and 2004.
