Length - 49 km, catchment area - 535 km². It flows through the territory of the Tashtyp district . The source is two streams - the Left Peak and the Right Peak, merging on the southeastern slope of the Shaman ridge 13.5 km southwest of the village of Big Anzas . The mouth - 0.2 km west of the village. Kubayka , flows into the river She by two channels. The absolute height of the source is about 1230 m, the mouth is 690 m. The forest cover of the catchment is about 80%. The floodplain is well defined, exceeds the water edge by 0.5-1.0 m. There is a first floodplain terrace .
Big Ansas has about 50 tributaries from 0.2 to 16 km long, the largest of them: the right - Uzun (16 km), Kaysas (7.5 km) with the Ugolny log tributary (14 km), the left - Birch (11 km ) Most of the tributaries flow out from under the Kurums and small mountain lakes. The food of Greater Ansas is mixed, with a predominance of snow. The hydrological regime is characterized by floods occurring in the second half of May - beginning of June, summer-autumn and winter low-water season, summer floods during torrential rains. The average multi-year runoff module is 15.4 l / s km². Freezes Big Ansas, usually in late October. An autopsy from the ice occurs in late April - early May. Average long-term water consumption - approx. 7 m³ / s. Logging is carried out in the valley.
