History
In 1974, an art department was opened at the Voronezh College of Music . Four years later, it was reorganized into a separate educational institution - the Voronezh Art School - by order of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR. The initial formation and development of the school was due to help from the Department of Culture of the Voronezh region, the Voronezh branch of the Union of Artists.
The first teachers of the art school were M. F. Akhunov, V. K. Znatkov, Honored Artist of the RSFSR V. A. Presnyakov, E. Ya. Poshivalov, V. V. Shavrin and its first director Larisa Fedorovna Agoshkova [1] .
In 1978, the first graduation took place (about 30 people) [2] .
In 2010, the competition was 3 people per place. By 2014, the school trained about 1.6 thousand graduates. [3]
Currently, students are being trained in the following specialties: “Painting”, “Design”, “Decorative and Applied Arts and Crafts”. With the assistance of the teachers of the school, in 1994, the painting faculty of the State Aviation Administration was opened. [2]
The director of the school - S. P. Gulevsky - Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation , a member of the Union of Artists, was awarded the distinction "For Services to the Voronezh Region." [four]
Exhibitions
In the spring of 2006, it was successfully held in the halls of the Moscow Art Theater named after V.I. Surikova (Moscow) exhibition of diploma and term papers by students of the school.
In 2014, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the school, the Kramskoy Museum (Voronezh) hosted an exhibition of paintings by graduates of the school [5] . 300 works were presented at the exhibition, and it became the largest of all previously conducted by the school - before that, in 2004, 150 works were exhibited at the same museum at the museum’s 30th anniversary in 2004 [1] .
