Biography
Anatoly Samonov was born on May 17, 1931 in Pyatigorsk, Stavropol Territory in Russia .
Education
He received his professional musical education at the Moscow Conservatory : in the piano class of professor, doctor of art history V.V. Nechaev (graduated in 1955) and in composition M.I. Chulaki (1959-1964).
Teaching activities
He taught at the inter- faculty piano department of the Moscow Conservatory since 1959 , and since 1974 - associate professor . Here he raised many domestic and foreign musicians who work both in Russia and in other countries of the world.
Concert activity
A.V. Samonov led a rather fruitful concert activity . He performed both with his own works and promoted the music of his conservative teachers - V.V. Nechaev, M.I. Chulaki and other composers. His activity as a pianist was of a pronounced educational character.
