Story
The plot is built around the adventures of the dead girl Lenore and her strange friends. All events take place in the city of Nevermore [2] (takes its name from the poem by Edgar Allan Poe - Raven ) and in its environs, where the Lenor mansion and cemetery are located [3] .
Lenore is a little girl who, at the age of 10, got pneumonia and died. But she did not die to the end, being stuck somewhere in the middle between the world of the living and the world of the dead. She lives in a huge abandoned mansion away from people, she is surrounded by living toys, fairy-tale characters and disgusting monsters - her best friends. In almost every episode, Lenore commits some bad, vile act, but it is not anger or envy that drives her, she does everything with the best of intentions.

In 2002, Adelaide Productions released the animated series of 26 episodes, created using flash animation technology. Each episode of the animated series begins with a slightly distorted quote from the lines of a poem by Edgar Allan Poe:
Let them perform a rite over her, sing for peace
They grieve about the most royal, about such youth.
Lenore. Edgar Allan Poe 1831 [4]
It is noteworthy that in these lines there is the surname of the author of the animated series - Dirge (see the original text in the footnote).

Characters
- Lenore (born Lenore ) is the main character, a ten-year-old dead girl who lives in a terrible mansion near the cemetery. Lenore does not have a clear idea of the concepts of "life", "death", "pain", "good", "evil" - this is precisely its feature that underlies the plot of most series. Lenore does not cost anything to kill a beast or a man, which she often does, but almost always does it without malicious intent or by an absurd accident, without feeling any guilt for what she did. Lenore collects alcoholic insects and other small creatures, as well as individual organs. He loves animals and often gets pets (mainly cats) - but her “love” always ends in fatal outcome for unhappy animals. Often carries a dead cat. Despite the apparent cruelty of many of his actions, Lenore causes the viewer only pity.
- Ragamuffin (English Ragamuffin ) - a revived rag doll, the eternal companion of Lenore. Once a ragged man was a formidable vampire, but one of his victims turned out to be the sister of a powerful witch, who turned the vampire into a strange rag doll. Many years later, a drop of blood Lenore brought him back to life - but the former appearance never returned to Tattered. In contrast to the impulsive and extravagant Lenore, Tattered Man is balanced and pragmatic. He is devoted to his savior and always supports her, even if he does not agree with her.
- Mr. Gosh (Eng. Mr. Gosh ; “gosh!” Is an English interjection, like “damn it!”) - a dead man with a bag instead of a head and with buttons instead of eyes. Suffers from unrequited love for Lenore. The girl repeatedly kills him, but he returns again and again.
- Taxidermy or Scarecrow (born Taxidermy ) is a kind of person with a half-decomposed deer head. He explains his strange appearance with a “medical condition”, in other words, with a disease [5] ( “It's an ... Hmm ... A medical condition” ). Intelligent and melancholy. Rides in a hearse. It has an incomprehensible pet named "Malakai" (perhaps a hint of the Pacific island of Molokai, which served as a leper colony ).
- Butter Monster (English Muffin Monster ) is a dumb character who does not play a special role, but is present in a number of episodes. One of Lenor's few friends is along with Ragman and Taxidermy.
