Vidor is a city in the United States , in southeast Texas , in the west of Orange County . The city is located ten kilometers (six miles) east of Beaumont . Vaidor is mainly a sleeping area for the neighboring Beaumont and Port Arthur . It is part of the Beaumont — Port Arthur metropolitan area. According to the 2000 census, 11,440 people lived in the city.
