All-Union Tourist Route No. 30 (“Through the Mountains to the Sea”) is a Soviet tourist route through the northwestern Caucasus .

Description
One of the oldest, most popular and popular tourist routes in the Soviet Union, lasting 20 days . Acted in the mid-1930s. The beginning of the movement is at the Gornaya base in Adygea , and the end is in Dagomys . As you move along the route, several climatic zones change, climb Fisht Glacier to the glacier, and end the trek to the Black Sea .
There is a variant of amateur travel, in which the pedestrian part is covered in two days with an overnight stay at the Fisht shelter . The route passes through the territory of the Caucasus Nature Reserve and a fee is charged for each day of stay on it.
In September 10-12, during the passage of the route in the planning group No. 93, 21 people died, which will be later written in three popular Soviet newspapers. [one]

Currently, the route has been restored in a shortened 5-day version and is called the “Ecological and Tourist Route 1” [2] .
