Biography
Member of the CPSU .
He graduated from Kiev National University named after Taras Shevchenko (1958) and the Higher Diplomatic School of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1964).
- In 1958 - 1962 - Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR .
- In 1962 - 1964, he was a student of the VSSH of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR .
- In 1964 - 1970 - Second Secretary, First Secretary, Counselor of the USSR Embassy in the United Arab Republic .
- In 1970 - 1972 - employee of the central office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the USSR.
- In 1972 - 1973 - Minister Counselor of the USSR Embassy in Turkey .
- From June 21, 1973 to March 14, 1975 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Iceland [1] .
- From April 2, 1975 to February 20, 1982 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Norway [2] .
- In 1982 - 1986 - Head of the Department for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- From October 28, 1986 to December 6, 1990 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Mauritius [3] .
Until 1998, he was the chief adviser to the First Department of the CIS countries at the Russian Foreign Ministry. Since 1998 - retired.
He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery near his father.

Family
He was the son of a member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1955–1960) and secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU (1957–1960), first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (1953–1957) Alexei Illarionovich Kirichenko . He was married to the daughter of the USSR Minister of Defense (1967–1976) Andrei Antonovich Grechko, Tatiana (1927–2002) [4] .
