Pedro Enriquez de Acevedo ( Spanish: Pedro Enríquez de Acevedo ; September 18, 1560 , Zamora - July 22, 1610 , Milan ) is a Spanish statesman and commander who, by matrimonial law, held the title of Count Fuentes .

Noticed by the Duke of Alba during his campaign in Portugal , in 1589 he received command of the detachment that defended Lisbon from the English Armada .
His military reputation was finally established in the Netherlands , where he commanded from 1591 and where then, in 1594-1596, replaced Mansfeld in the chair of the Governor General. A fierce enemy of France, he carried the Duke of Savoy into an alliance against her and drew Marshal Biron to a conspiracy against Henry IV .
As governor of Milan (from 1600) aroused hatred of the Venetians and other Italians; for defense, Valtellina built and named his name a powerful fortress.
