“ Easy Livin ' ” is a Uriah Heep song by keyboardist and vocalist Ken Hensley , first released in 1972 on Demons and Wizards' fourth studio album ( Bronze / Mercury ).

Easy Livin 'was released as a single in many countries around the world. She became the group's third single in the UK (Bronze WIP 6140, “Why” on the back), fifth in Germany and sixth in the USA (Mercury 73307, “All My Life” on the back) [1] . It was the American release that became the band's first hit, rising to # 39 on the Billboard Hot 100 [2] .
The song “Easy Livin '”, originally written by Hensley based on the stage charisma of frontman David Byron [3] , has become one of the most popular numbers in the concert repertoire of Uriah Heep. Music critic Dave Thompson, noting the kinship of the composition (especially in the “wild clash of Ken Hensley’s keyboards and Mick Box’s guitar that slowly moves David Byron’s vocals”) with arrangements by the band’s closest rivals, Deep Purple calls the song “stunningly short” (“just two and a half minutes, but this furious execution does not require more ”) [4] . The Allmusic reviewer noted that even concert performances of a song (such as what was included in Uriah Heep Live a year later) do not exceed three minutes, but they “leave the audience exhausted” [4] .
In 1979, in the USSR, a cover version of the song performed by VIA " Watercolors " (which retained the hard-rock sound of the original source) was published on her album " The Sunbeam in My Heart " (C60-12731-2 [5] ), among several other English-language re-chants , in contrast to the tradition established in the 1970s, to perform a foreign repertoire with the original Russian text.
Also, the redone version can be heard at the end of the 11th episode of the animated series “Well, wait a minute!” , Where the action takes place in a circus. The author of the Easy Livin treatment is the famous James Last. In Soviet cinema, in the famous film “Citizens” (USSR 1975), at the 56th minute the taxi driver (N.
