Alekseev, Egor Nikolaevich (April 1883 - April 20, 1957) - a famous Yakut bone carver , a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.

He was born in 1883 in the lodge of II Tylim Meghinsky ulus of Yakutia. He died on April 20, 1957 in Yakutsk [1] .
As recognized by art historians, the master with his work contributed to the establishment and development of bone carving as an art in the postwar years. He mastered various craft techniques, but most of all he excelled in traditional relief and through carving (“Yakut cavalryman smashing the enemy”, plates: “Bear hunting”, “Deer hunter” - 1947; “Arctic fox” crest, 1953) [2] .
His paper-cutting knife, known as Yakutia (1949), was donated to I. Stalin . Now it is kept in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
