Biography
From birth, he lived on the Petrograd side in Leningrad , in a house on the corner of Bolshoi Prospekt and ul. Lenin. The teenager survived the Leningrad blockade . Parents - Dmitry Parygin Timofeevich (02.16.1908, St. Petersburg - 02.23.1974, Leningrad); mother - Parygina (Moiseeva) Fedosya Petrovna (05.06.1909, settlement Vartemyagi - 01/19/1967, Leningrad). Father during the war years - captain, commander of a self-propelled artillery division. He went with fights from the Leningrad patch to Koenigsberg, a knight of three orders (two orders of the Red Star and World War II degree). In 1948 he was sentenced to 12 years (served 6 years in Podporozhye ). Subsequently, his criminal record was withdrawn for lack of corpus delicti .
After school, B. D. Parygin entered the philosophy department of Leningrad State University (1948-1953, diploma with honors). In his student years, he was a member of the board of SSS and the board of the university sports club. In 1961 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences on the topic "V. I. Lenin on the formation of the mood of the masses ” [3] , in 1967, a dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy on the topic“ Social Psychology as a Science (questions of history, methodology and theory) ” [4] .
After graduation, he taught and acted as deputy head of the department of philosophy and deputy dean for scientific work at the Faculty of Philosophy of Leningrad State University (1953-1960), and taught philosophy at the Pediatric Medical Institute (1957-1962). In 1965, the publishing house of Leningrad State University published, now a bibliographic rarity, the first monograph on social psychology, Parygin 's work “Social Psychology as a Science” (208 pages, vol. 3400 copies) [5] , after the author’s clarifications and additions reprinted by Lenizdat in 1967 (264 pages, dash. 15,000 copies). The book has been translated into Czech, Bulgarian, Portuguese and Spanish and published in Czechoslovakia ( Prague , 1968), Bulgaria ( Sofia , 1968), Uruguay ( Montevideo , 1967) and Brazil ( Rio de Janeiro , 1972).
Since 1968 , Parygin headed the Department of Philosophy at the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute. Herzen (1968-1976), where he created the laboratory of "Socio-psychological research" and the first in the USSR faculty of social psychology. Lectures were given by the largest scientists of the country: Andreeva G. M. , Bodalev A. A. , Gumilev L. N. , Klimov E. A. , Lomov B. F. , Porshnev B. F. , Firsov B. M. , Yadov B. A. Among the laboratory research results were published under the editorship of BD Parygin books: “ Personality and Group ” (1971), “ Leadership and Leadership ” (1973).
In 1971, the main work of B. D. Parygin, “Fundamentals of Socio-Psychological Theory” (dash. 20,000 copies), was published , in which the concept of key problems of social psychology, and above all, personality and human communication, was presented. This book had a great resonance in the scientific environment of the USSR and abroad, which was reflected in published reviews. The monograph was officially reprinted in Japan ( Tokyo , 1977) and four times in Germany ( Cologne , 1975, 1982, Berlin , 1975, 1976). However, at a meeting in the Central Committee of the CPSU with an ideological asset (1972), B. D. Parygin was qualified as the leader of international revisionism in Marxism for an attempt to interpret the latter, softened by a psychological approach. A little later, at the institute, BD Parygin was charged with the intention of replacing Marxist philosophy with human philosophy [6] . This led to the transition of Parygin in 1976 from the Leningrad State Pedagogical Institute. A.I. Herzen to the Institute of Socio-Economic Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1976-1992), where he organized and headed the sector of socio-psychological problems of labor collectives, and then regional management. The results of this work are reflected in his books “Scientific and Technical Revolution and Personality” (1978), “Socio-psychological climate of the collective” (1981), “Regulation of the socio-psychological climate of the labor collective” (edited by him, 1986), “Social psychology of territorial self-government ”(1993) and others. He headed the research committee of the SSA (Soviet Sociological Association) on the problems of social psychology (from the date of its foundation). For several years he headed the North-Western branch of the SSA. He was the scientific coordinator of international socio-psychological research in the framework of CMEA .
In 1992, he founded and headed the department of social psychology in St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise [7] . Its team aimed at developing and implementing the latest research and educational-methodological developments, in particular, the first experimental socio-psychological training aimed at optimizing the climate on the scale of an entire faculty (legal) and ensuring the transition to a new role for the department graduating psychologists. He conducted a large scientific and pedagogical work. 57 of his students became candidates of sciences, 10 - doctors of sciences. Over the past years, he lectured in social psychology at universities and institutes in many cities of the country, as well as in countries both near and far abroad. Full member of several academies: International Academy of Psychological Sciences, Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academy of Humanities, National Academy of Juvenology, New York Academy of Sciences and others.
He died on April 9, 2012 in his apartment in St. Petersburg. The funeral service and farewell to Boris Dmitrievich took place on April 12 in the Chesme Church , on the same day he was buried in the cemetery of the village. Kirillovskoye, Vyborg district, Leningrad region.
