Company History
The company was formed on August 22, 1995 as a closed joint-stock company Kumkol-Lukoil. On June 27, 2000, at the general meeting of shareholders, the founders of the enterprise OAO Lukoil Overseas Kumkol B.V. and OAO Hurricane Kumkol Munai decided to rename the closed joint stock company Kumkol-Lukoil to Turgai Petroleum. On May 17, 2005, the company was renamed into Turgai Petroleum Joint-Stock Company in accordance with the Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Shareholders
The authorized capital of AOZT Kumkol-Lukoil was formed by the monetary funds of two founders: the State Joint-Stock Company Yuzhneftegaz and OAO Lukoil with a 50% share of participation by 50%.
Currently, the company's shareholders are: Lukoil Overseas Kumkol B.V. - 50% and PetroKazakhstan Inc. - 50 %.
