Biography
Alexey Evgenyevich Poray-Koshits was born on February 24, 1941 in Leningrad .
He graduated from the Leningrad Theatrical Institute named after A. N. Ostrovsky , art-production faculty, the class of Nikolai Akimov .
He worked in many theaters of the country, heading the staging part of the Taganka Theater , heading the artistic and staging part and deputy director of the Maly Drama Theater (“Theater of Europe”) , technical director of the Moscow Art Theater and the Bolshoi Drama Theater. A. Tovstonogov and others.

Parents - Evgeny Porai-Koshits (September 15 (28), 1907 - March 18, 1999, St. Petersburg ), Soviet chemist, Lenin Prize winner (1963); Vera Fedorovna Matyukh (1910–2003), Soviet graphic artist.
The son is a video game designer. He graduated from the Physics Department of Leningrad State University / St. Petersburg State University.
