Content
Geography
It is located in the central part of the district, in the upper reaches of the Ters River, within the limits of the Khvalynsky National Park . To the district center 17 km, to the village of Vozrozhdenie 23 km. Close to the village are the forest-covered Khvalynskie Mountains . Southeast of the village is Mount Mordovskaya Shishka 287 meters high [2] .

History
In 1984, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR, the village of Boltunovka was renamed Ulyanino [3] , in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union F. I. Ulyanin [4] .
Infrastructure
As of 2002, in the village there were a school, a club, a first-aid station, a liaison office [2] .
Natives
The Hero of the Soviet Union Fedor Ivanovich Ulyanin was born in the village.
