Together with the European Free Alliance, it is a faction of the European Parliament “ Greens - European Free Alliance ”.
History
The party was created on February 21, 2004 on the basis of the European Federation of Green Parties . In its turn, the predecessor of the EFZP created in 1993 was the Coordination of European Green and Radical Parties (since 1984 - the Coordination of European Green), which, due to its small representation in the European Parliament, created together with the regionalist parties the common Rainbow group. The first European Union of Greens was created in 1979 before the pan-European elections
